Today we had a great group of students come and create four original works of art using their thumb prints. Some very lucky people will get to hang these beautiful works on their walls. Check out the pictures below to see the kids creating the art as well as the finished products.
Our friends in the Lowell Rotary came to us before Spring Break asking if our Early Act students would be willing to create some artwork to be auctioned off at their "Denim and Diamonds" event this Friday. The Rotary puts on this fundraiser every two years. The proceeds go towards local and international service projects (half of the money raised goes to each). Their goal is to raise $40,000! In the past, money has gone to build the skate park and the pavilion by the trail by Cherry Creek. Other funds have raised money for water filters in Haiti. When we told the Early Act crew about it, they were ALL ABOUT IT.

How awesome to have kids give up their sunny recess on a day of testing and choose to Do Something that lifts others up! These young people are amazing. Comments are closed.
