Wednesday, May 9, our Early Act students had a special opportunity to attend a meeting with Rotary International of Lowell. We were invited to present everything we have done this year to the members of Rotary. Our students each shared their favorite project, and then we made three loans to borrowers on Kiva. Rotary members were very impressed with the amount of money our little group has lent out using money from trinkets kids made for our Early Act Store.
Student representatives from all three levels--elementary, middle school, and high school--spoke to the Rotarians about their groups' projects. It is fun to see that the spirit of giving flows through all three levels and that students continue to look for ways to improve the world around them. Meetings like this one make us know that the future of our country (and the world) is in good hands! :)
