At our Early Act meeting today, the 4th and 5th graders worked to prepare for our first Help Haiti Thursday. During lunch through the month of January, Early Act will be collecting donations to go toward buying one or more water filters which will provide clean water for families for up to fifty years! Kids who donate will have their pinkie colored to show their support of Haiti. To prepare, students learned a lot about the importance of clean water. Check out this website for a cool infographic and to see what they learned: Clean Water Project |
They also figured out the logistics involved in collecting donations and coloring pinkies. The students who will be collecting money made signs to wear so the other kids will be able to find them easily. A lot of work went into this project!
