We have made more than 200 loans on Kiva.org! Most of those loans have already been paid back, and the rest are starting to pay us back. As we get paid back, it is important to our group that we re-loan that money more people who need it. One of our favorite things to do is put kids on computers and have them pick a loan that they connect with on some level. Today we heard students saying, "This lady has FIVE kids!" and "Her youngest kid is 10! I am 10 too!" There was a definite buzz of excitement as they picked the perfect loan for them.
One of the challenges for our group is getting grown ups to really take these kids seriously. But SERIOUSLY.... These kids are SERIOUS about making a difference. All you need to do is spend five minutes with them listening to them talk about this stuff.

As the students wrapped up their loans, Mr. Audia sang a song he wrote over a year ago after visiting Kiva in San Francisco in the fall of 2013. Students love the song and always sing along. They requested that we make the lyrics available so they can learn it better. The song is written from the perspective of a Kiva borrower in Africa. Enjoy!
